MBTI SHIT

Where everything ever will be typed.

Permalink Scott Pilgrim:
ISFJ
I: Scott has a lot of friends but he is really only close with a few of them (he’s oblivious that they’re hooking up without him knowing, too).  He’s only able to fully recharge his batteries and get over Envy after spending time in isolation.
S: Scott is only able to fully understand things when it deals with his sensory world.  This one is pretty self-explanatory because he’s a character inside a fictionalized vancouver which is a video game…
F: Scott functions through emotion.  He is passionate and gutsy and makes decisions too quickly.  If you analyze the plot, it’s essentially because he acts on impulse.
J: Scott requires a structured environment/lifestyle or he’ll quite literally sleep his life away.
Scott lives inside his own world (which borderlines delusions) and this is evident in his conflicting versions of his stories with his exes.

Hey all!

What are some fictional (or not!) characters you would like us to type for you?

Permalink Scar | INFJ:
I. Scar’s the very definition of a loner. He doesn’t need a single soul, save for the pawns he utilises to achieve his dreams.
N. Honestly, he’s such a dreamer. “I will be king roarrrrrrr. Wait, you mean my nephew’s getting the throne instead of me? Pfsh, naww, you’ll see.”
F. Although Scar is definitely a logical and thoughtful strategist, ultimately, what motivates him is his insane ambition. He’s incredibly personal, and can’t be objective about any decision.
J. Scar needs structure and organisation. That’s why he plans. It’s how he functions. Think back to that ‘Be Prepared’ scene where the hyenas were marching in a manner somewhat paralleling Nazi’s. That’s what he does.
Permalink The Tenth Doctor |  ENTP
E: The Doctor is definitely an E because he loves meeting new people and always surrounds himself with others.  In fact, the entire premise of him allowing humans to journey with him is to combat his loneliness, if The Tenth Doctor’s final few adventures are any indication, his loneliness is something he can’t stand, so he doesn’t recharge his batteries alone.
N: He seems to wobble between S and N, but his N side is more dominant because of his knowledge of theoretical possibilities and advanced knowledge which can’t be known by the five senses.  He looks for the future because he’s a time traveler, he doesn’t value the immediate reality because he knows that there are many possibilities for what may happen and that time isn’t as immutable as it can be thought to be.  He is very idealistic and can see the good in anyone, “Genocide, OVER MY DEAD BODY” is his motto whenever he sees anyone practicing Genocide, which he seeks to eradicate.
T: Ten is a thinker.  While he can be quite emotional, he prefers the objective, he doesn’t let his personal feelings get in the way of his decisions, even when it’s incredibly difficult for him to do so.
P: As a man who has spent the majority of his life running away, he tends to withhold judgment on matters until the Time is Exactly Right.  Look how long it took him to visit the Ood again after they told him he was going to die soon.  A J wouldn’t have delayed and gone on a few last adventures before hand.
There are two telltale signs of an ENTP: impatience with those they consider unintelligent/wrongheaded and this is illustrated with The Doctor’s initial reluctance with Mickey Smith. (Well that’s more of 9 but 9 and 10 are very similar on a psychological level.) The other telltale sign of an ENTP is their ability to find brothers in arms quickly of similar temperaments. The Doctor has always bonded quickly with those he loves.
A personality type can change under trauma, and after killing the Time Lords (again) and saying goodbye to all of those he loved and regenerating, I’m under the opinion that The Doctor switched from ENTP to ENFP on the spectrum when he became the 11th Doctor, which I will discuss at a later date.
